KKS Challenge #152 - Musical

Hey there my Krafty friends and welcome to this week's Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps challenge which is to make a card with a musical theme. So I had this paper from Echo Park, Holly Jolly Christmas. It has all kinds of awesome prints and colours in it, including this Christmas carol paper. Perfect for this challenge and goes quite nicely with Lexie, from the new Winter Fun set.

I've been inspired by some of my fellow krafty girls to try using some cheese cloth on my cards. So i gave it a try...I think I need a lil more practice but a good try.

I added a snowflake border using my Martha Stewart punch and a couple of pearls.

To see what the rest of the team came up with check out the KKS challenge blog, and also the Frugal Friday specials are also up now.

Have a great weekend :)

Well welcome back!! It’s Krafty RELEASE Day at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!! And we’re celebrating with a KRAFTY HOP!! Over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, we have shared lots of AMAZING new stamps from all our artists! We’ve got something for everyone!! We've got two new characters from Cheryl Alger........it's LEXI'S WINTER FUN and SNOW DAY LUCAS!! We also have an adorable set from Emilie Goulet called OH BABY!! And of course we have an amazing new set of SIX elegant DASHING DANCERS from Annie Rodrigue that are simply stunning! OH and don’t forget the exclusive line of sentiment stamps that will coordinate with ALL your images this season.... called WINTER TRINKETS by the lovely Nicole Aspinall!!!

OH AND there is a SPECIAL image we are releasing to you today and we haven't shared it with you yet! See if you can find it along the hop! It's the AWESOME new stamp that the participants at yesterday's Krafty Day received in their goodie bags!! It's called KRAFTY KATASTROPHE and we know you'll love it!!

I kept both my cards very simple letting the main focus be on just the image with just a few cute details so it wasn't completely plain. With Lucas I added some crystal lacquer underneath his sled and then sprinled some chunky glitter for snow. On Lexie's card I cut out some felt to mimic the snow. The sparkle on my trinket I achieved by stamping the image on white and then covering it completely with an adhesive sheet and then covering it in glitter. I really love the way it turned out.

You will get to see most of the new images today as you sit back and enjoy our OCTOBER Krafty Hop! As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of these incredible stamps from the new release!! And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available! And of course, as always, we have our Gimme Kimmies Kits available for those of you who ‘need it all’!! The stamps are grouped together by artist and are available at a discount, but only for a limited time!! Now let's get hoppin'!!

More KKS Sneak Peaks...Day three

Welcome back to day three of Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps sneak peaks. Today we are sharing with you Emilie's latest creations. Babies :)

With my card today I kept it simple with the focus on this cute lil babe. I trimmed him out carefully not to give him his first haircut ;) The paper's I used are from a 4x6 Nana's Nursery by DCWV. I framed the baby using my spellbinders, and a little ribbon and some dew drops in each of the corners.

Sweet and simple.

Day 2 of KKS Sneak Peaks....

Welcome back to our OCTOBER Krafty Peeks!!! Today we are excited to share the TWO new SETS by artist Cheryl Alger!!! We have two NEW characters to introduce you to! Meet Lexi and Lucas in their own new sets!!! It's LEXI'S WINTER FUN and SNOW DAY LUCAS!!!

So first of all aren't these kids the cutest?!! I love them! Great for cards and perfect for adding to some fun winter layout pages. I used Lexie first and paired her up with some soft snowflake paper from Imaginisce, Cottage Christmas. Distressed the edges, added some glitter and a few buttons and twine. Sweet simple card.

There's also Lucas who just as cute, maybe a little more mischievous  with that snow ball in hand...lol.
I used some papers from The Snowfall Collection by BoBunny. I loved the browns and blues. Some kraft cardstock was the perfect base and accent colour. Some snowflakes from my CB dies, a lil bling, bakers twine and Voila. I also used my SU punch for the sentiment. So many of the KKS sentiments fit perfectly in it, I use it alot.

All the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests listed below have lots of super designs to show you, so be sure to hop over to each of them! And while you're there, be sure to leave a comment because we are giving away one of EACH of the new sets!!! You could WIN the new LEXI or LUCAS set!!!!!

Then come on back tomorrow to check out MORE new stamps we have to show you , this time by artist Emilie Goulet!!! And ALL the new stamps will be available on Sunday at the KKStamps Shop!! Happy hoppin'!

We are kicking off the *New* OCTOBER Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a beautiful new set of Trinkets!!! We are very excited to share with you our….WINTER TRINKETS!!!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the WINTER Trinkets set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!! All of the Krafty Girls are cardmakers primarily and we have found these to be such a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to our creations or to use as the focal point on our cards! They are also perfect for your Smashbook pages and your scrapbook pages, not to mention your altered items and tags!! No stamper's stash is complete without them!
