Kraftin Kimmie challenge #63 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. What a great challenge. At first I have to admit I was a bit stumped, I wasn't really sure what to do. So I headed to my recycling for some inspiration...I grabbed some old newspapers and a tab off a pop can... and I must say I'm really happy with the way it all came together.
I thought Buster the Bulldog was perfect for this challenge. So to start I scrunched up the newspaper and added some Tim Holtz frayed burlap distress ink. Some of the paw prints on the ribbon were hot pink which I didn't think Buster would appreciate. Besides...it didn't match. lol So I grabbed my R29 copic marker and made them red, then slid the pop can tab on. I distressed some of the edges of my paper to rough it up a bit and used kraft cardstock as my card base. I also got out my old tag maker and that's what the sentiment is framed with.
Again I loved this challenge, it just shows you what else you can add to your creations.
Let's see if we can be inspired (I'm most certain that we will) by the other Krafty girls and see what they used on this week's KKS Challenge.

KKS Challenge #62
Today's challenge is Fairy tales...Princes, Princesses, and frogs oh my. I wanted to still play with the new January images and thought maybe I could use Abigail apple. It may be a bit of a stretch... but I thought she also kinda looked like Little Red Riding hood taking some apples to Grandma's house.
The paper I used is from K&Company called Berry Sweet. How appropriate. The ribbon was from my stash, but I do know that it came from Florida while my friend was there on vacation. It also works perfectly with this image. I used my fancy tags from spellbinders for the sentiment and added a few gems for some bling.
I'm really excited to see what the rest of the Krafty girls came up with for this weeks challenge. There are so many Kraftin Kimmie images that could work that the options are endless. Be sure to check them out at the challenge blog. I almost decided to do a second card...maybe if I have time I'll come back and add another one in, we'll see.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

KKS Sneak Peeks day 3 and a challenge.
Today I am the hostess for this weeks challenge which is to use flowers or floral patterns on your patterened paper, prima's, punches, etc. Really not much of a challenge at all, not for me anyway because I typically always have some sort of flowers on my designs. So it's real easy for you to play along and the random winner of this week's challenge will win one of the two images that I have used today. So let's meet our girls, created by our incredibly talented and today's featured artist Annie Rodrigue.
First let's meet Stella Strawberry. She reminds me of the girls from Oktoberfest, I think it's the hair. lol Which myself being a hairstylist is one of the things I love about this release. Annie has given these girls such fabulous hair. I love it!
My second card today, because I just couldn't stop playing with these images is Rebecca Raspberry. Although I do like the way my card turned out...I thought they were pine cones and coloured them brown. I was asking Kimmie "What's the pine cone girls name?" and she's says "Pine cones?!?" "Those are raspberries." lol
So it just shows you how versatile these images are. heehee ;) Blackberries, raspberries, or even pine cones.
This is a great release so be sure to check them all out today and come back for the official release day on Sunday.

KKS January Sneak peeks....
Welcome to this months Kraftin Kimmie's sneak peeks. It's a big release this month with stamps from three different artists. Today we will be sharing Krafty Peeks featuring all FIVE stamps from one of our past artists, Crissy Armstrong.
Meet Stripes the Zebra. How cute is he?? Seriously!! I love the way he's just sitting there chillin with a butterfly on his nose.
I'm trying to use up some of my scraps as a new year's resolution so I think the paper is from BoBunny and the zebra print...unknown. But perfect eh?! I love my spellbinders and I use them whenever I can. On today's card I used label one and fancy tags for the sentiment. "A leopard cannot change his spots, nor a zebra his stripes"
Wanna see more of this month's release?...pop on over to the Challenge blog to see what the other Krafty Girls created today.
Be sure to check back tomorrow to see_______ new images...sooooooo cute! Can you guess??

KKS Challenge #60
Welcome back. After a Christmas and New year's break it's time to get back to blogging. And I have some fabulous news.....Miss Kraftin Kimmie has asked me if I'd like to be a permanent Krafty girl.........uh ya!!
No hesitation. Let's just say, I'm super excited and a bit giddy. lol Thanks Kimmie :)
This week's challenge is to use no fibres. Well to be honest I had this exact same card done, but I had ribbon on it. So I made another but this time I used a thin strip of paper and then added the slide. So it may look like ribbon, but it's not.
This was my first time colouring Chester, and I think he looks quits dabber in his teal tux, like he's going out for a New Year's Eve celebration. This Nestie is awesome for most of Annie Rodrigue's images, I think it is my there my new favourite set. I inked around the edges before taking it out, and voila. I really like this technique. The sentiment is from Micheal's, and it fits perfectly inside my EK success punch. Added a bit of bling and finished.
