For today's challenge I used Nurse Nightingale, kept the card very simple by just adding a bit of washi tape and a button with some baker's twine. The hearts I made by putting the washi tape on some paper then using a Martha Stewart border punch, peeled them off the paper and onto my card. Like my own little stickers. :)

Kraftin' Kimmie Previews....Day TWO!

Welcome to day two of Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps December release. Today I will be sharing two cards with you.

My first card is with Lexi and Libby. I embossed the background with a cuttlebug folder that I thought resembled bubbles onto some glossy white card stock. I added some fun double patterned ribbon that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

My second card I used Lucas. The paper is Paws and Claws from TPC Studio. I coloured the image with my copics and added a Thank You Trinket.  The silver rim around it i made with this old tool from making memories that kinda squeezes the metal edges to together to create a tag. Haven't used it in years but thought it would look cute, kinda like a dog tag.

Day 2 of KKS Sneak Peaks....

Welcome back to our OCTOBER Krafty Peeks!!! Today we are excited to share the TWO new SETS by artist Cheryl Alger!!! We have two NEW characters to introduce you to! Meet Lexi and Lucas in their own new sets!!! It's LEXI'S WINTER FUN and SNOW DAY LUCAS!!!

So first of all aren't these kids the cutest?!! I love them! Great for cards and perfect for adding to some fun winter layout pages. I used Lexie first and paired her up with some soft snowflake paper from Imaginisce, Cottage Christmas. Distressed the edges, added some glitter and a few buttons and twine. Sweet simple card.

There's also Lucas who just as cute, maybe a little more mischievous  with that snow ball in hand...lol.
I used some papers from The Snowfall Collection by BoBunny. I loved the browns and blues. Some kraft cardstock was the perfect base and accent colour. Some snowflakes from my CB dies, a lil bling, bakers twine and Voila. I also used my SU punch for the sentiment. So many of the KKS sentiments fit perfectly in it, I use it alot.

All the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests listed below have lots of super designs to show you, so be sure to hop over to each of them! And while you're there, be sure to leave a comment because we are giving away one of EACH of the new sets!!! You could WIN the new LEXI or LUCAS set!!!!!

KKS Challenge#148

Hey there my Krafty Friends and welcome to this week's Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps challenge which is a super easy one this week because all she's asking is for us to use our Favourite KKS Stamp. Easy Peasy!!

So I starting looking through all of my KKS Stamps and it was actually harder then I thought, just to pick one...maybe I should have done a collage. But then I came across Judy.

I loved her hair, I loved the way she was posed with her milkshake, I loved her heels! :) Definitely a favourite.

I bought this cherry charm ages ago especially to use on a card with Judy, and I've finally used it quit hoarding it. lol

The papers I used are from Life of the Party by Lime Twist (MME) I added some baker's twine and also one of our Every Day Trinkets from one of the first releases. Such handy little sentiments for the perfect finishing touch.

To see more off this week's challenge cards pop on over to the KKS Challenge blog.
Also Frugal Friday Specials are UP!!  Several of our most popular stamps are on special 30-50% OFF.

KKS Challenge #107

Hi there!! welcome to this week's Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps challenge. Today's challenge is to use heat or dry embossing on our cards. So I'm going to take you back a couple of few years when I first got my Cuttlebug. I thought this thing was the best tool ever!!! I especially loved how quick and easy it was to emboss. No stylus tool that left your hand aching that you had to take a break from crafting. lol
So needless to say I bought a whole bunch of embossing folders, I don't use them nearly as often so it was kinda nice to pull them out for this challenge.

I used this lil cutie from the Snips and Snails set, coloured him using my copics matching to the MME All spice paper, added some Baker's twine and a couple of buttons. For the embossing I used one of those narrow CB embossing Borders.

Also the Frugal Friday specials are now on at the KKS store so pop by and check out those deal and also drop by the KKS challenge blog to see what the rest of the Krafty gals came up with for this week's challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend. :)

KKS Challenge #104 Make It Masculin

Today I am the hostess of this week's Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps challenge. I know one of my biggest challenges is to make a masculine card. Personally I am always drawn towards the girlie stuff because I have two little girls of my own so when it comes time for a masculine card...I don't have any.

Today I decided to use Bruce the Shark. I don't think there will be much time left to BBQ as this morning I saw the first bit of snow for the season...but it didn't last. Just long enough for my girls to squeal "It's Snowing!!!"

Check out what the rest of the Krafty gals designed for this weeks KKS challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!!

KKS Challenge # 95

This week's Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps challenge is A blast from the Past. Use one of your first KKS stamps on your card this week.

Charlotte would have to be one of my all time Fav's. However you're going to be seeing a lot of that girl today so I chose to use Lola Davinci.

I kept my card pretty simple especially with the "splashy" $ store paper I used in the background. I was going to colour up another image as Lola's art piece. But then decided to have it be a self portrait. So a quick colour copy and Voila. Sneaky eh? ;) saved me some time. lol

Join us down memory lane and check out what the other Krafty Gals dusted off for this week's KKS challenge... here.
Just teasing, there would be no dust. ;)

KKS Challenge #88

This weeks Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge is a sketch from my fellow krafty girl Tara.
I used Elaine from our latest release of travel girls. I had picked up this paper from Micheal's as it suited the theme perfectly.

I cut Elaine out using my spellbinders and inked around the edges before removing it from the die. I added a lace edge using my Fiskar's border punch. Tore along the bottom edge and inked it with some Tim Holtz distress ink. Finished it off by adding some chocolate ribbon, baker's twine, a few pearls and a button.

Check out what some of the other Krafty Gals came up with this week, over at our KKSChallenge Blog.

Thanks for stopping by.
