 I used the same papers from DCWV Linen Closet for both my cards. I thought they had a nice elegance about them. I used my spellbinders to cut each of them out adding a bit of ink to them first. Finished them off some prima flowers and some lace.

KKS Challenge #197 - School's back in, Bookmarks needed.

Welcome back for another totally fun challenge here at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! We've got a great challenge for you again this week!! Come along and play with us! 

This week our hostess is ANGIE!! Her challenge for you this week is School's Back IN!! So she'd like for us to create a BOOKMARK this week (with a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp) and share it here! Get creative! You can pretty much use ANY KKS image to create a fun bookmark, but some are especially perfect!! Have some krafty fun and join us this week because we'd LOVE to see your KKS designs. We hope you can play along for your chance to WIN some Kraftin' Kimmie rubbah!!!

So for my challenge this week I have decided to challenge you to make a bookmark. My girls both love to read, and they often have more then one book on the go so bookmarks are great!! Especially when there this cute, right!? ;) I made this bookmark by just using my circle punch on the top two corners to cut off a 1/4 of the full circle. I hope that makes sense. I used an image from one of my ALL time favourite sets, Girls just wanna have fun!   And I also added a sentiment from a retired set, but thought it went nicely with this. I cut it out so that it would look somewhat like a thought bubble and then used some stickles around the edges for a dreamy kind of look.

I hadn't had the chance yet to play with this sweet Lexi image from the Lil Athletes set and thought she'd be fun to use for this weeks Embellish challenge. Such a cute and sweet image to and all kinds of pretty and frilly embellishments to. The paper I thought was worked nicelt as well, soft colours with kind of a brocade type design to them. Anyway I had a lot of fun with this challenge. Embellish away!!

KKS Day One of August Sneak Peaks!!!

It's time for Kraftin' Kimmie's AUGUST 2013 RELEASE!!!!! We've been dying to share this month's new STAMPS with you!! We've got SO many exciting things going on....so let's get to it!

We are kicking off the *New* AUGUST Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and we're SO excited to share these new stamps with you from artist, Nicole Aspinall!!! Today we’d like to introduce you to these spooooooky new sets ….FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE! and TIME FOR A COFFIN BREAK!

I coloured the witch and the cauldron using my copics and then carefully trimmed out around them leaving just a small border of white. Then I punched some circles and found some black glittery paper (from the $ store) for the perfect mysterious touch. I made the cobwebs with my MS cobweb border punch and added some little green gems and voila, that's it. Sweet and simple. 

These fabulous images are perfect for your Halloween cards, tags and treat bags!! And you'll see this in the amazing samples today!

KKS Release Day! Woot Woot!!

Well welcome back!! It’s Krafty RELEASE Day at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!! And we’re celebrating with a KRAFTY HOP!!

I want to be this girl relaxing in the sun with a cocktail. Sounds heavenly.  Unfortunately Mother Nature has denied us the sunny forecast for today and it was mostly overcast all day :( I think tomorrow it is to be nicer, fingers crossed. Anyway, this is Margarita. I added some flowers from my stash that I thought looked kinda tropical and added a pearl brad to the centres. The flourish is from a Cheery Lynn die, The sunglasses were a little dimensional sticker from Jolee's Boutique.

These two cards are made with the Good Vibrations set. I love this sentiment. My girls actually got me one of those word plaques for Christmas that said, "I love you more than Cupcakes." Awww. I loved it!!

I pulled out some of my new paper and new flowers for this flower challenge. Loving this colour combo by the way. Anyway I chose to play with Lulu from our Fairy Friends set and paired her up with a Birthday sentiment from the Fairy Trinkets set. The paper is from a Summer Breeze 6x6 pad by First Edition paper.

Well welcome back!! It’s Krafty RELEASE Day at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!! And we’re celebrating with a KRAFTY HOP!!

Over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, we have shared lots of AMAZING new stamps from all our artists! We’ve got something for everyone!! We've got TWO sweet new sets with the kiddos from Cheryl Alger........DOWN ON THE FARM and FAIRY FRIENDS!! We also have a fun new set from Emilie Goulet called PRETTY LITTLE PIXIES! And of course we have an amazing new set of SIX awesome stamps in our SASSY SPRITES collection with a coordinating FABULOUS FRAMES set and they are simply A-mazing! OH and don’t forget the TWO incredible new sets of TRINKETS ...... SPRING TRINKETS and FAIRY TRINKETS!

Love, Love, Love these trinkets. So many fun ways to play with them. I love colouring them in with my copics starting with a lighter colour on the inside and gradually making it more intense closer to the edge. And if you have a variety of circle punchs or spellbinders you can add even more to the look of them, building them up. 

How cute is Lucas as a lil farmer?! So sweet. The papers I used with Lucas are from A Happy Heart (MME) And Stella Rose (MME) I did a little bit of distressing and inking, added some twine and a charm that I thought looked like it may pass for a pitch fork and a few brads.

With Lexi I love how this all came together. Another colour combo that I absolutely love, pink and brown. I coloured her with my copics and carefully trimmed her out and added some pop dots. I used a Cheery Lynn die to make the glittery flourish and added a little more bling with some tiny little gems. I found these beautiful flowers at Michaels in there $1.50 bins.( they come in a package of 4) Anyway,  when she rang me through and I realized that they were on sale for .50  I went back and stashed up on some more!! I love when you get such a awesome steal :) Happy Dance!!

January KKS Sneak Peak Day One

Well it's 2013 and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is startin' things off with a BANG!!! We have tons of awesome new stamps for our first release of the year AND we're having our very first ONLINE RELEASE PARTY!!! It's happening this SATURDAY at our Facebook fan page....and you can get ALL the details HERE!!! All the new stamps we're sharing over the next few days will be released on SATURDAY NIGHT! 

Now let's get on with our JANUARY 2013 RELEASE!!!!! We are kicking off the *New* JANUARY Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a beautiful new set of Trinkets!!! We are very excited to share with you our GORGEOUS….HANDMADE TRINKETS!! What a fabulous new set of Trinkets, wouldn't you say??? Here you are, creating all these gorgeous cards and gifts to give to your family and friends....and now you can stamp them up to show YOU made them!! There are SIX fantastic stamps featuring images from our artists that you can use for the backs of your cards, for gift cards, altered items and all those baked goods you plan on giving out!! *wink* These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the Handmade Trinkets set which includes SIX trinkets in each set PLUS two tiny little copyright stamps so that you can stamp them in a tiny little obscure spot on your creations if you want! You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber. I gotta say....we love our TRINKET stamps, but we all absolutely ooohed and aaahed when these were unveiled!!! Heehee! 

I used this Handmade Trinket on the back of one of my cards. I kept it simple by just stamping in on some ivory cardstock with some versa fine ink to keep all the little details crisp. I then coloured just around the edge of it with my copic marker. (that's the orange outline) I then added the teal circle using my spellbinders. I punched out some stars and added a little ink to them and also the little teal circles. Sweet and simple.

Kraftin' Kimmie Previews....Day TWO!

Welcome to day two of Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps December release. Today I will be sharing two cards with you.

My first card is with Lexi and Libby. I embossed the background with a cuttlebug folder that I thought resembled bubbles onto some glossy white card stock. I added some fun double patterned ribbon that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

My second card I used Lucas. The paper is Paws and Claws from TPC Studio. I coloured the image with my copics and added a Thank You Trinket.  The silver rim around it i made with this old tool from making memories that kinda squeezes the metal edges to together to create a tag. Haven't used it in years but thought it would look cute, kinda like a dog tag.

Day Two of KKS Sneak Peaks...

Hi there and welcome back to day two of Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps sneak peaks. Today I am sharing with you a very festive Lulu. She's all set for Christmas and looking super cute.

I had this striped paper in my stash that I thought really looked like wrapping paper so I went with and made my design look just like a gift. The Flower/bow I made using my scalloped Stampin Up punch. Just punch three to five circles onto your choice of DP and scrunch them up a bit. Adding a bit of water has a nice effect as well. Add a brad to the middle and shape the layers how you desire. Super easy too :)

Day Three of KKS sneak peaks

Hi there and welcome back to day three of Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps. Today we're featuring Emilie's newest creations and they are so sweet!! I played with a couple of the images, here's a peak of the first one.

I coloured her in with my copics markers matching her to the Cosmo Cricket Pixie-licious papers that I used, ironically. Lol I added a little bit of glitter to her wand and wings using my Gelly Roll Sakura Star dust pen. This is my go to pen for adding just a subtle amount of glitter. I also finally used my prima roses that I got way back at Christmas time that I've been hoarding, but I thought she was so cute she deserved to have them right there beside her. Underneath the rose is a little flourish of gems that I picked up from the dollar store. Stamped the sentiment and then punched it out with SU word window punch and then framed it with the fancy labels punch in a nice glittery teal.

For my second card the papers are from MME Happy Go Lucky, and I think that's just how she looks. :) Framed her with my spellbinders and inked around the edges with some SU soft sky. It's a great colour to use for this technique.

I added a a scalloped border and some sparkly butterflies with a MS punch, and added some glittery ribbon. Again from the $ store. Sometimes you can find the best little finds there.

KKS challenge #127

Welcome to this week's Kraftin Kimmie's Stamps challenge. With Mother's Day just around the corner our challenge this week is to make a card for mom. Awwww :)

So I thought using Lulu playing dress up was perfect for this challenge. I used some designer paper from my stash so I'm not sure what line it is from. I added a heart border using my Martha Stewart punch, and a few prima flowers with a pearl brad.

The sentiment I used is from an Amy r set that I punched out using a Stampin Up punch. Then I remembered these cute little charms that I had bought along time ago and thought it would complete the card nicely. :)

KKS April Release day is here!!!

My girls were off on a play date today so I had tons of Krafty time to myself!! Yeah!!!  :)

I was on such a role today in my craft room that I made three cards for today. I wanted to talk a little about this last one because some of the details didn't really show up that well in my photo. I wanted to create a scene but wasn't really sure how I wanted to do it. I first thought about a pop up card but my Tin man was a bit thin and flimsy so I scratched that idea. Then I thought maybe an easel card would work nicely...and I'm quite happy the way it all came together. I found some great papers in my stash as the backdrop, some it you might recognize from and old 6x6 from Stampin Up.The stone paper I'm not sure where it came from, sorry. Probably a DCWV pack but i can't say for sure. So I dusted off a couple of old tools to create the scene, like my heat gun and my fiskars dry embossing plates. First of all I embossed the Tin man onto some silver metallic cardstock with some black embossing powder and I paper pieced his ax.  I had an embossing plate that kinda looked like a stone pathway so I used that on some glittery yellow cardstock to create the yellow brick road. Really it was all quite simple, I liked how simple and clean it looked so I kept it just as is. :)
