Day three of KKS sneek peeks...

Hello again my Krafty friends. You're back to see more of KKS latest release. Well they just keep getting better and better. Today the spotlight is on Cheryl and her three back to school images...so friggin cute!!

Meet Mattie, I thought he would make a good bookmark. Those are just a handful of my daughter's books in the background so it's good to have lots of  bookmarks on hand.
I stamped Mattie onto Kraft cardstock and coloured him in with some prisma pencil crayons. I've only coloured this way twice so it's still a technique in the works. But I thought I'd share with you how it turned out.

I also wanted to share with you this card I made using Katie. I just love this lil cutie. I colored her using my copics and the papers on both my creations today are from a DCWV Grade School Stack. Katie also comes with the sentiment "Learning is Fun!" that I added a few school themed brads to.

Now if you head over to the KKStamps Challenge Blog, there's a list of all the Krafty peeps who have peeks to share and be sure to leave comments at each one, because every day Kraftin' Kimmie will be giving away prizes to a lucky random commenter.

Thanks for stopping by.

KKS Challenge #86, Tag you're It!

This week's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge was Tag You're it. So either make a tag or use a tag on your card, something involveing a tag. So I knew I had a coluzzle template with a variety of tags on it so I used that. I coloured  Lilybelle, she's one of my favourite fairies. I used some paper from the Prima Melody collection, I thought the soft colours suited Lilybelle. To finish it off I added a prima flower and some bling flourishes that I got from Dollarama.

Tag you're it!! Hop on over to the KKS Challenge blog to see what the rest of the Krafty Girls whopped up for this weeks challenge.

Thanks for stopping by. :) Have a great weekend.

KKS Challenge 83, Cards for Kids

This week's Kraftin Kimmie stamps challenge is to make a card for the little people in our lives. I have a couple of them myself so these cards are always good to have on hand.
I chose to use this Dance in the Rain girl. I coloured her using my copics but I paper pieced her dress and bow with some paper from My Minds Eye and finished it off with a couple of primas with a couple of pearls in the centre.

If you play along with this week's challenge you could have the chance to win Dancing Dylan as well as four other stamps of your choice from Steven Leary's images. Sweet eh?!!

To see more cards for this week's Kraftin Kimmie challenge head on over to the Krafty girl challenge blog.

Have a great weekend.

KKS Challenge #80

This weeks Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Challenge was to use hand stitching on your card. This was a challenge for me...well maybe challenge is not the right word...a dislike. lol  I never sew, stitch, patch, or do anything like that.
I usually ask my mother in law to do that kinda stuff for me. It's usually my little girls stuff anyway, so when then come to Grandma and ask "Can you fix this?"  really how could she say no.  ;)

However for this challenge I did do it myself.  It took a bit of practice on a scrap piece of paper to decide what I really wanted it to look like, and this was the deciding stitch. I actually asked my husband for ideas and he suggested a baseball stitch beings my card was masculin. So that's what I did.

Anyway for this challenge I used Raymond, thought with Father's Day coming up I'd be prepared. I coloured Raymond with my copics but added the grass using my Prisma pencil crayons. I still need some more practice but I like the softer look.  The paper is some old stuff from Stampin Up and the sentiment is a rub on also from SU.

Now pop on over to the  Kraftin Kimmie challenge blog  to see more.
Have a great weekend!!
