Hi there and welcome to this week's Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps Challenge. This week's challenge is to use metal on your cards. It can be real, faux or just in the image. Well I had the cutest, most perfect charm to go along with the lovely gardening Lulu ( from the Springtime Lulu set) so I decided to play with her this week.
Using an old line of Stampin Up papers, the card came together quite nicely. Little bit of inking and a bit of distressing. Don't you love when it all just works out. I did notice after having my picture and post almost completely done that my twine came a little loose with the weight of the charm, so just ignore that little detail. :( boooo.
Well I hope you all have a great weekend, I'm off with my hubby to Niagara Falls for a belated Birthday getaway!! Sooooo looking forward to a weekend just the two of us. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for looking after our girls for us....oh Lexie, Our spoiled Berner. :)
Check out the rest of the DT's work at the KKS Challenge Blog and also the Frugal Friday specials are now on as well.
Thanks again for stopping by.

KKS Challenge 121 - Recycle
Hello there my Krafty peeps. Today's Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps Challenge is to Recycle. Sometimes I do find this challenging to do on a card, but in other craft projects...Not a problem. I'm ALWAYS saving stuff that I think I can make use of. I just collect my "treasures" in my cupboard and when I'm hit with some inspiration I go searching through what I've got and usually there's something in there that will work. lol
So for today's challenge I had seen an idea on Pinterest for making use of an old cookie sheet, and then I saw another idea for a weekly Menu Board. I put the two together...and here's what I came up.
I didn't take pics while I was putting this together but I wanted to show that everything is made with magnets. So if you wanted to move things around, change up the paper, add some colour to the cookie sheet, all those things are possible. Or you could simply use them as fridge magnets.
All put together we have this.
And a closer look at sweet Lulu.
And if you're wondering what my recycled part was... it is the little boxes. They were soap boxes!!
I covered them with some super cute paper that I picked up from Walmart. I made a drippy goo border using my MS punch, then added some ribbon that looked like it was made especially for Chef Lulu.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I know it was a long one this time but I hope you enjoyed my project. I find it helpful with making dinners for the week, and even grocery shopping to use a menu planner.

I've been enjoying creating things other then cards, so when I saw this decorative birdhouse at the dollar store I thought of Lulu. I painted the top of it with some bright pink craft paint and then added a scalloped edge using my Martha Stewart border punch. I covered the rest of the wood with some designer paper from K&Company, Berry Sweet.
I used spellbinders to create the loopy frame around the window and the flowers along the bottom is a sticker that I found at the $ store. Finished it off by adding the sentiment and a few butterflies that I punched from some really glittery paper. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, maybe a gift for someone with a new home.... :)
Thanks for stopping by and your next stop on the hop is the very talented Elaine.

Day three of KKS sneek peeks...
Hello again! Welcome back to day three of Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps sneak peaks. Today we are featuring Annie's latest mater pieces. I wish I had her talent, but instead I'm happy to play with the awesome images that she creates for us.
As much as I detest dandelions popping up in my yard, if they were as cute as these little girls I wouldn't mind so much. Lol
Meet Dandy Lion.
I wanted to make her really magical and delicate looking so I coloured most of her using my copics but for her dress I outlined her in a pale blue and then added lots of star dust stickles. I thought about using some flock, but I really wanted the sparkle.
The papers I used are from DCWV laundry linen line. (one of my fav's) I love the soft teals and brown tones in this 8x8 pad. Added some prima flowers and some clear buttons with some metallic wire that I used my stylus to curl into spirals.
Join us tomorrow for a Krafty hop and the official release of Kraftin' Kimmie's march release, and more chances to win some new rubber.

Day Two of March's Sneak Peaks!!!
Welcome back to Day two of Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps previews. Today we are featuring Emilie's newest creations, which are some cute lil fella's you might find hidden around your garden.
Today I'm going to share with you...
Fishing Gnome :)
Kept the layout very simple focusing on this cute lil guy. I used my spellbinders to frame him, sponging around the edges before removing it from the die. I used two colours of chalk ink and was really pleased the way it turned out.
Again if you leave comments on the DT blogs you will have the chance to win some of KKS newest stamps. Two winners will be randomly picked and will each receive one set of the gnomes.
Thanks for stopping by.

Day One of KKS Sneak Peaks...
Welcome to Day one of sneak for Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps previews. We're back with lotsa cute images to share with you this month. Starting with some adorable Lulu's from Cheryl.
They come in a set of three but today I'm only going to share one of them with you. Lulu playing on her swings. The papers I used are some old ones from Stampin Up. Added some ribbon and pearls and Voila. Ain't she a cutie!?
I also added a little loopy edge using my Stamp' Up border punch along the bottom. I love these Lulu girls, you could use them for anything. Great on a layout, and the cards are endless.
Now don't forget, if you leave comments amongst the KKS design team you will be eligible to win some new Lulu's. How fun is that?!! One winner will be chosen and they will get a new set of Lulu's. :)
Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow with some more sneak peaks.

KKS challenge118
Hi there and welcome to this week's Kraftin Kimmie's Stamps challenge. This week our challenge was to use 2 KKS stamps on our card. At first I had no idea what I was going to come up with but then I came across these two images and thought they would work perfectly together.
Jack and beach Miles (who I believe has now retired) are having a day at the beach. The papers I used i think are from a DCWV paper pack. Otherwise I kept the card very much lie a scene. I hand cut the clouds out and inked around the edges of them with some soft sky ink from Stampin Up and added some stickles. I also stamped some star fishes that came with Calliope one of the KKS mermaids. I stamped them on some patterned paper and added a bit of glitter with my Sakura pen. I put some crystal lacquer on Jack's beach ball to make it all shiny and make it pop.
I think all the Krafty Girls did an outstanding job with their cards this challenge. A truly talented bunch of girls I'm proud to be on a design team with :) Check out their cards here.
